The Haymarket Theatre presents The Weir by Conor McPherson 8 - 23 September A dark, wintry night in the west coast of Ireland, with a sighing wind blowing in from Connemara. Four men of the village gather around a pungently smoking peat stove, to tell stories of strange doings and ghosts. They listen intently to each other, sometimes with a wry smile, sometimes with a knowing nod of the head; occasionally with a little shudder they order another pint. Then in walks a young woman. And she has a story to tell to break all hearts. "I defy you to sit through this dry eyed.
